Katherine Maltwood left the Society a fund to investigate her 'discovery of the Somerset giants (Somerset Zodiac). She published a book on the subject: 'A Guide to Glastonbury's Temple of the Stars'. The Society administered the fund after the death of her husband in 1967 as a grant for archaeological excavations in Somerset. In 1990 the fund and its administration was transferred to the Somerset Archaeological and Natural History Society.
