Explore the RSA’s archive collections, using the catalogue search box above. The collection is largely institutional, full of information relating to the Society’s administrative history and includes minutes, correspondence and membership records. We hold extensive records and drawings relating to eighteenth century innovations and designs inspired by our Premium awards in agriculture, mechanics, chemistry, manufacturing, the polite arts and the British colonies. Records trace the changing focus of the Royal Society of Arts’s mission through more than 270 years to our famous Student Design Awards, contemporary research and public events programme. Please note, we do not keep biographical information about our membership or awards winners.

ENQUIRIES AND VISITING THE ARCHIVES

The archive team are happy to answer research enquiries and offer research visits with in-person access to our archives, by appointment. We do not have a public searchroom, so cannot accommodate drop in visits. Chargeable group and individual tours of both RSA House are also available by appointment.
