George III mahogany wall clock featuring a circular painted dial with subsidiary seconds and gilt brass bezel. Wasted trunk applied foliate swags to each side and enclosed by a shaped door with inscription. The clock has a substantial weight driven movement with dead beat escapement. A gift to the Society from the maker in 1760. Thanks to the generosity of a Fellow, the Society was able to restore and regild the ormulu mounts, to the original design, on the case of the clock (no date given).
