Protecting our history, inspiring our future
Nearly three centuries of ideas, action and ambition don’t disappear—they accumulate. Our Archive is where that story lives, preserving the people, ideas and moments that have shaped the RSA and influenced the wider world.
Within our collection you’ll find everything from the original Premium Awards, which inspired some of history’s most remarkable inventions, to minutes from meetings where figures such as William Wilberforce and Benjamin Franklin debated the pressing issues of their time. Together, these records tell the story of how bold thinking has helped shape society for more than 270 years, making the RSA Archive one of Britain’s most remarkable (and least-known) collections.
