Searching:
• You can search for all the records by simply typing * into the Search box at the top of the home page (then press enter and click the magnifying glass icon)
• If you already know the reference (for example RSA/AD/MA/800/19/17) you can enter this into the search box
• The advanced search options allow you to focus your search to specific fields (scope and content is the main description field)
Hierarchy:
Archival material is arranged into a tree-like structure to keep related material together. Select 'browse the hierarchy' and click the arrows to see material in that section - click the reference to see its description.
Images:
• Many of the records have images attached and this will automatically appear as part of the description.
• If you just want to see descriptions of items that have images attached, click the Browse button and select 'Digital objects' from the dropdown menu that appears.
Work is ongoing to add links from the descriptions to individuals to allow you to use names as a distinct route into and through the collections.
