Scope and content

Two sleeves of negatives of the minature lion which adore the Adam frieze in the Research Room.

A scheme based on their preservation was launched. This became a scheme called Adopt a Lion. The donation would be put towards the cost of carefully clearing the plasterwork, and reinstating the original paint scheme.

"For donations of £1,000 ($1,500) and above you can name your lion for the duration of 3 years, and your acquisition will be recorded in a book to be kept in the house"
