The Society was bequeathed £30,000 in 1922 by an anonymous benefactor to purchase no. 6 John Adam Street. The identity of the benefactor remained a mystery until he was identified as Mr Bullard N King by his son in 1966.\nThe Society instituted a fund to raise funds for the purchase of 18 Adam Street\n
