Mr Hector Crawford was awarded the first Harnett Medal (1985) for his contributions to music and broadcast entertainment in Australia.\n\nThe presentation was made in Melbourne in 1985 by His Royal Highness, The Duke of Edinburgh.\n\nThe photograph shows, from left to right, Mr Crawford, Mr Oscar Gimesy, Chairman of the Society's Victorian Chapter Committee and His Royal Highness, The Duke of Edinburgh.
