Sent by the United Nations Photo Library on request for images to be used to illustrate text published in the Journal from a lecture by Michael Iganatieff entitled 'A crime against humanity : Raphael Lemkin and the Genocide Convention', 17/1/2000, first lecture in an occasional series on forgotten heroes and heriones. Image not used.
This formed out of the Finance and General Purposes Committee, after a recommendation delivered by Michael Fry to Council in September 1991. Its main function was to be the key operational committee through which all plans,projects, key events and their respective budgets passed, before being forwarded on to Council as recommendations. They then saw to the execution of the approved plans, monitored them and kept Council appropriately advised. This was first chaired by the Chairman of the Council and was the link between Council and the Management Group.

Medal made by Percy Metcalfe in 1948 the design on the reverse is based on the original design by Mr F.H.Andrews, a Vice President of the Society, which was later adopted as the Society's emblem.

Awarded to Carleton Kemp Allen, Oxford Secretary to the Rhodes Trustee and Warden of Rhodes House, Oxford, for his work entitled 'Law in the Making'. Silver cup made to the design of Harold Stabler RDI.
