Several records have been bound together in this volume. They are the first notice published by the Society on 19 February 1754 'Plan of the Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce' 1755; William Shipley's message 'To the Public' 15 June 1754; a List of members printed on 1 October 1755; a draft Premium notice; and a manuscript list of Premiums offered by the Society for Encouraging Arts, Manufactures and Commerce 1756.
