The RSA House Appeal aimed to raise over £500,000 to repair, restore and redecorate the Adam ceilings and decorative schemes of two within the House, and subsequently relocate the Society's library resources to the purpose built space within 8 John Adam Street.

Adopt a Lion donation form printed with detail of partially restored lion heads in the RSA Research Room.

The RSA aimed to raise over £500,000 to repair, restore and redecorate the Adam ceilings and decorative schemes of two room within the House.
The RSA offered Fellows to option of "adopting" one of the 40 miniature lions which adore the Adam frieze in the Research room. For donations of £1000 and above you can name your lion for the duration of three years. The donations were put toward the cost of carefully cleaning the plasterwork, and reinstating the original paint scheme.

Donations started at £1000, to £5000 and up to £10,000

Howorth Medal

In 1992 the RSA North West Region established The Howorth Medal for Enterprise and Innovation in recognition of Dr High Worth's outstanding contributions to life and industry.
Initially, the medal was awarded for a distinguished contribution to industrial or technological achievement. More recently the score of the award was broadened to cover many fields of human endeavour by those whose professional career has been general concentrated in the area.

The Onians Fellowship was used to highlight the omission of the statistic that every week people under the age of twenty five are unsuccessful at setting up their own business.

The conclusions from this study were based on face-to-face interviews with forty-four entrepreneurs and supported by quantitative research carried out by leading academic and enterprise organisations.
