This is the first volume of minutes for the Royal Designers for Industry. It covers how the faculty came about and its terms of reference. The faculty's objectives were laid out as the further development of design, the consideration of matters affecting the profession and to maintain and uphold the status of the distinction of RDI and of the Faculty.\n\nThese Minutes date from 9 November 1938 to 11 April 1945.\n
