Won the Pearson Attachment Award worth £937.50 under the the 'Interactive Film Catalogue' brief in the 'Communications/ Multimedia' section. Worked with Pearson for six weeks.

The British Museum and the RSA established the award to encourage the improvement of design in museums and equipment in them and to encourage young designers to concentrate on such problems.\n\nCorrespondence and working papers relating to the establishment of the award. Includes design briefs for 1977 and 1983.
RSA organised and held a meeting 12 February 1982 to discuss the proposed British Art Medal Society, an extension of the medal design bursaries competition, which aimed to improve the standards of design of medals, particularly cast medals. \n\nCorrespondence from those approached to take part in the discussion giving their comments on the structure and nature of the new Society. \n

Won the Dorma Group Attachment Award of £800 under the 'Hippie Patch' brief in the 'Home Furnishing' section. Worked with Dorma for four weeks. Includes a letter to the RSA.
Won an East Central Studios Travel Award of £500 under the 'Crossing the Frontiers' brief in the 'Fashion Fabrics' section. Travelled to India and Nepal for four weeks. Includes a number of loose photographs.
Won Travel Award worth £1000 under the the 'Rail Transport - Forth Bridge Centenary Visitors Centre' brief in the 'Transport' sector. Travelled to the USA from 24 July - 20 August 1990. Photocopy of original report.
Won The John Lewis Attachment Award of £5200 in the 'Women's Wear Fashion' section. Worked with John Lewis for six months.
Won a Marketplace Design Partnership Attachment Award under the the 'For the Kids' brief in the 'Leisuer & Retail' sector. Spent four weeks working with Marketplace Design.Photocopy of original report.

Won The Royal Mail Travel Award of £1550 plus the De La Rue Global Services Travel Award of £1900 in the 'Postage Stamps' section. Travelled to Addis Ababa for two months.
Won the Jill Lawrence Design Travel Award worth £125 in the 'Fashion Fabrics' section. Travelled to Paris in October 1996.
