Won the 'Addison Attachment Award' worth £1500 under the 'Archaelogical Dig Viewing Centre' brief in the 'Leisure & Retail' sector. Worked with Addison Design Consultancy for five weeks.
The Photographic section was an addition to the Design Bursaries in 1980/81. The award was given specifically for colour and was offered at a considerably increased value. The competition was sponsored by Kodak.\n\nAdministrative correspondence which includes a report on the 1980/81 candidates.
Won a Royal Mail Commission and Attachment Award worth £7500 in the 'Postage Stamp' section. Worked with the Royal Mail for tweleve weeks.
Won a visit to Dartington Crystal Ltd and a Travel Award of £150 in the 'Glassware' section. Travelled to America to study the American studio glass movement.
On a team with Stefano Di Santo. Won a Travel Award worth £2500 under the 'Millennium Mast' brief in the 'Communications and Landscapes' section. Travelled to Canada.
Won the Allied International Designers Attachment Award worth £300, a Travel Award worth £300 and one week's work experience in the House of Frazer in the 'New Concept Development' section. Worked with House of Frazer and Allied International Designers from 15 July-9 August 1985. Photocopy of original report.
