Minutes, agendas working papers and correspondence relating to the Design Forum.\n\nThe Design Forum was an initiative of RSA Director Christopher Lucus. Its aim was to get other Design organisations working together.

Administrative correspondence, including a Memorandum and Articles of Association relating to the Association of Societies of Art and Design Limited was established to promote the education of the community by encouraging the understanding, appreciation and development of the arts and design in whatever media expressed. The Association was formed by the five societies representing the related professions of artist and designer namely the Institute of Contemporary Arts, the Society of Industrial Artists and Designers, the Design and Industries Association, the Institute of Landscape Architects, and the Design and Art Directors Association in 1966. The Association was liquidated in 1970.

Administrative correspondence relating to the Prime Minister's Design Seminar and RSA's response. The file also includes subsequent correspondence between the RSA, government, and the Design Council.

Won The Eddie Squires Award worth £500 under the 'Patterns from Other Cultures' brief in the 'Furnishing Fabrics' section. Travelled to Ghana.

Won The Dartington Crystal Ltd Seminar and a Travel Award of £150 a in the 'Glassware' section. Travelled to the Ambiente International Giftware Fair, Franfurt.

Won a Travel Award worth £500 under the 'Popular Culture' brief in the 'Postage Stamp' section. Travelled to Dubai from 18 - 26 January 2001.

Won the 3M Award of £3000 and a Travel Award worth £3400 under the 'De-Luxe Sportswear' breif in the 'Fashion' section. Travelled to Japan for a month.

Won a Travel Award of £1000 and also an Attachment Award with Sims Graseby worth £1500 in the 'Medical Products' section. Worked with Sims Graseby for two months.

Won the IKEA Attachment Award of £2000 in the 'Furniture' section. Worked with IKEA in Sweden from February - August 2000.

Won the British Airways Research worth £1250 and a British Airways flight in the 'Design Management' section. Research Project plan and Research Report.

Won Silentnnight Holdings Attachment Award worth £2000 inlcuding £500 for a study tour in the 'Furnishing Textiles' section. Travelled to Paris for two nights.

Won a Travel Award worth £1000 in the 'Less Crime through Design' section. Travelled to India from 22 August - 12 September 2000.

Won a Next Attachment Award worth £2500 (including a Travel Award of £900) in the 'Fashion' section. Worked with Next.

Won a Travel Award worth £2000 in the 'Postage Stamp' section.Travelled to Prague from 28 September - 11 October 2000 and to New York from 15 -24 February 2001.
