The British Art in Industry exhibition was held at Burlington House in conjunction with the Royal Academy of Arts from January to March 1935. The Faculty of the Royal Designers for Industry was established after the exhibition.\n\nIncludes correspondence about display of items, administrative arrangements, funding and sponsors, accounts and ticket sales, comments and complaints about selection of artists and exhibits, correspondence with John de la Valette (Honorary Organising Secretary). The Award was established to complement RSA student award activities at undergraduate level by the active encouragement of outstanding design projects/studies, related to communications, at postgraduate level. It was also hoped that it would enhance the status of such postgraduate studies and that the results of these studies might benefit the community at large and /or British Telecom in particular.\n\nAdministrative correspondence relating to the establishment of the RDI/British Telecom Design Awards (Royal Designers annual awards in communications).

In 1973 the Burton Group introduced a series of awards which were designed to examine and improve the effectiveness of the designer's role in industry. Won a Travel Award and was third in the Jacobs Memorial Award Certificate. Travelled to New Zealand.

Won The British Musuem Attachment Award worth £1460 under the the 'Museuem Shop for Children' brief in the 'Interior Design' sector. Worked with the British Museum.

Won prize of £12 under section 2, Textiles, prize offered by Messrs Brinton Limited

Won The Royal Mail Travel Award of £950 and the De La Rue Print Travel Award of £900 in the 'Postage Stamp' section. Travlled to Italy for two weeks.

Won prize of 10 guineas under section 6, Advertising, prize offered by Messrs James Shoolbred and Company Limited

Won the Ford Interiors Attachment Award in the 'Furnishing Textiles' section. Worked with the Ford Motor Company in Essex from 26 September 1988 - 6 January 1989. Photocopy of original report.

Won the Sloane Group Holdings Attachment Award of £2500 under the 'Commercial Washrooms' Brief in the 'Interior Design' section. Worked with the Sloane Group.

On a team with Lucy Daynes and Meng-Han Tsai. Won Travel Awards of £1166.66 and £416 in the 'Museum Design' section. Did a Museum Tour of Europe.

Won the Allied International Designers Attachment Award worth £300, a Travel Award worth £600, and one week working with the House of Frazer in the 'New Concept Development' section.Worked with House of Frazer from 15-19 July 1985 and with Allied International Designers from 22 July-9 August 1985. Correspondence and press releases relating to the administration of the Chartered Society of Designers Medal. The medal and a cash prize, to be used by the winners for the same travel or industrial attachment purpose as the RSA Bursary, was given to an outstanding student in the set design disciplines. Medal winners were selected from the winning and highly commended entries of the Design Bursaries competition by a judging panel comprising Members and Fellows of the Chartered Society of Designers and presented in conjunction with the RSA's Design Bursaries Competition at ceremonies held in May.
