Heather Ackroyd and Daniel Harvey were appointed as artists in residence at the William Dunn School of Pathology in Oxford, to research and design two courtyard spaces in collaboration with architect Clive Guyer of Llewelyn Davis. The artists have been treated as visiting fellows to the School of Pathology throughout the duration of their collaboration. The project was completed in 1999. Received the Albert Medal 'for her work in the field of international co-operation in economic development'. Baroness Jackson prevented by illness from attending the presentation, William Clark who succeeded her as President of the International Institute for Environment and Development, received it for her.

Yinka Shonibare worked with MODE 1 Architects on this hospital refurbishment scheme to build and enhance a respite care centre for people with mental health difficulties. Shonibare proposed artworks integral to the design and use of the building. The artist was paid for his design input but the project plans were shelved due to financial constraints. Client: West Lambeth Community Care (NHS) Trust. Award value £5,000.
Richard Harris worked in collaboration with Percy Thomas Partnership on the design of three internal courtyards in this new NHS Trust hospital in Dorchester. Harris worked with 4D Landscape Design to integrate his proposal with the overall construction and design of the superstructure, creating a real sense of space and place in these key circulation areas. Completed in 1996. Client: West Dorset General Hospital NHS Trust. Award value £10,000.
